Manuals & Internal Control

The existence of a Policies and Procedures Manual in companies helps document all operational activities, works to minimize errors, and can be used as a reference for learning and a tool for development.

At Fidelity, we have a specialized team for designing the Policies and Procedures Manual that conducts a detailed study of the establishment, precisely defining the optimal method for workflow and determining the documentation cycle that achieves internal control.

No single system of policies and procedures is suitable for all establishments; instead, each activity must be studied independently, in line with the nature of its specific operations, the size of available resources, the degree of complexity, and considerations of cost-benefit.

Internal Control is an integrated process affected by the management and employees of the activity, designed to address/mitigate risks and provide reasonable assurance that the company is steadily moving toward achieving its objectives in a proper manner. It is a dynamic, integrated process that constantly adapts to the changes faced by the organization. Management and employees at all levels must participate in this process to address risks and provide reasonable assurance of achieving the activity’s mission and general objectives.

The internal control system is usually classified into three different types: Detective, Preventive, and Corrective. Detective controls aim to identify a negative event after it has occurred. Corrective controls are implemented to address any weaknesses that allowed the error or deviation to happen. Preventive controls actually attempt to stop those risks from occurring in the first place.

At "Fidelity," we have the expertise to provide our clients with appropriate policies and procedures that suit their needs and effectively reduce risks. With you, we can make the Policies and Procedures Manual a model and an effective tool—a constitution for the company's works and activities—that prevents deviations and undisciplined efforts from the human element, while simultaneously maintaining the appropriate flexibility to make any necessary adjustments deemed necessary by management to facilitate, develop, or expand its operations.
